Developed around a unique, secure virtual ledger, Evident Registries deliver transparency for consumers, preventing double-counting and enabling organisations to make credible and robust environmental claims as part of their sustainability reporting.
Created with accessible APIs that allow customers to easily integrate with back-office systems and reporting tools, Evident Registries are continually evolving to meet ever-changing governance and technological needs. Through these APIs, we also support a rapidly growing ecosystem of technology partners who provide a range of tracking and reporting services, marketplaces, and exchanges – all based on our trusted, single source of truth.
Evident’s registries are managed by a team with unrivalled experience in the sector. We created the first registries for renewable electricity in Europe in the late 1990s, and later built communications systems that enabled the first international trades of renewable electricity certificates.
Advisory
Our team has helped many governments around the world engage with voluntary markets and create compliance markets. Accredited to international best practice standards, our services are designed to be easily adopted by governments, adapting to local requirements whilst maintaining alignment with international standards.
Our founders helped establish the EU market for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), which later became the EU Guarantee of Origin, an important benchmark for how renewable energy is tracked, traded, and sold with integrity, helping stimulate rapid adoption. They also played a leading role in establishing the I-TRACK Foundation, the non-profit organisation that sets the international standard for attribute tracking.
We provide expert advisory services to organisations including MiQ, the fastest growing and most trusted methane emissions certification standard, who are on a mission to certify the 100% of the global gas market. Our team also supports C-Capsule, an organisation passionate about reducing atmospheric carbon dioxide through tradable carbon certificates. C-Capsule’s framework provides trustworthy, universal access to the Voluntary Carbon Market.
